Synthesis Method
Obtained by the chlorination of decanediol with thionyl chloride.
Put decanediol and pyridine into a reaction pot, and add thionyl chloride dropwise under cooling.
After addition, stir and react at room temperature for 3 hours, and then reflux for 3 hours.
Recover the excess thionyl chloride, then distill under reduced pressure, collect the 126-127℃ (0.93kPa) fraction, and obtain dichlorodecane.
The yield is 88%.
